Boston University heads to OU again for the Norman area

Norman-Boston University’s reaction to Sunday’s choice is undoubtedly a memorable memory.

Boston U was declared one of three other Norman area teams after Oklahoma was selected as the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Championship. More specifically, Meme was chosen as the first opponent for young children.

Playing football? This is the second consecutive year that Boston has been sent to Norman.

The team's reaction to the announcement was attracted by ESPN2 broadcast.

A common view on social media is that Boston U’s reaction is fear of playing the Sooners, who are looking for their fifth straight national title. Coach Patty Gasso Not seeing it that way.

"That's what I got[the surrendered Cobra]." "I don't understand that. I don't know anything interesting about it. But for me, it's not like, 'Oh my god, we have to play the Sooners.'

"More like, 'Oh my goodness, we have to go back there again.' I don't blame them for this."

Last year, Sooners did not play Boston U in the Norman area because Oregon eliminated the Terrier.

Boston U coach Ashley Waters Going into social media and sharing similar views, Clarifying Terrier is looking for a different experience. Terriers have been sent to Norman since 2018 and traveled to the Stillwater area in 2021.

This is a strange quirk for Sooners.

Gasso expressed satisfaction with the NCAA selection committee's selection, which included the Sooners as two seeds while making the Texas A&M the highest seed. This year marks the 14th straight season of the Sooners hosted an area, and they will also host a super area if they move forward this weekend.

After the clash between California and Omaha, the Sooners at Boston U were duel Friday at 5 p.m. Next weekend, the winner of the Tuscaloosa area, hosted by Alabama No. 15 seed, will play the Tuscaloosa area champion.

But Gasso acknowledged that there is still a lack of clarity on how the selection committee will make the final decision.

"We've seen Carl Berkeley in a few (regions) lately," Gaso said. "I don't know why. It obviously doesn't matter what it means to the committee (back to the same place). It just fits in the puzzle. Honestly, overall, I feel like there's more equality than I haven't seen. I didn't look at it, but I look at it differently. My heart is no longer my heart. I don't like it anymore.

"So I didn't look at it at the time (Boston U) and then go, oh, they were there again. I don't know. But I hope this is what they'll notice. Because it's the experience of student athletes going to another place to see new things and seeing new things. It's going to be a new stadium, so these guys haven't completely completely felt completely yet.

"But I do agree. I hope they have more opportunities to experience different things."
