The niece of Boston policeman John O'Keefe told jurors that his relationship with the alleged killer began to deteriorate in the weeks before his death.
O'Keefe, 46, was found dead on January 29, 2022. Karen Read, who was 45, was currently in connection with his murder.
The niece was not disclosed because of the teenager, because she was a teenager who testified Wednesday morning just minutes before the testimony of the previous day was cancelled.

To protect the teenager's privacy, the judge also ordered news cameras not to record her testimony, but the court reserved space for 10 journalists in the court.
"For me, it's a hatred that can't hide your hostility to Karen," said New England Radio host John Depetro. "What she said is important - there are a lot of battles in December and January, and the battle seems to be increasing."

This is consistent with the timing of an argument allegedly read with O'Keefe after a trip to Aruba, where she accused him of cheating on her with a friend's sister - which O'Keefe denied.
The niece said, John said to (read): ``More than once after they fought, John said to (read): 'Why don't you go home? ''He told Fox News the numbers. "She won't leave the house."

Another key part of the niece's testimony was read from the morning, and two other women found O'Keeffe died outside Canton, a suburb about 20 miles south of Boston.
According to WFXT-TV's Ted Daniel, she woke up between 4:30 and 5 a.m. on January 29, 2022 and her "crazy" readings woke her up. Read the phone numbers of O'Keefe's friends, Kerry Roberts and Jennifer McCabe, who, while they were reading at 6 a.m., they found O'Keefe unresponsive under the dust on the snow.

The niece allegedly heard her voice and asked if she could “do something” or if O’Keefe could be “hit by a plow.”

"I don't think it hurts the defense case, and I think some people are very harsh on Karen Read," said Massachusetts defense attorney Grace Edwards.
"But it seems she told it like this, and there was no prejudice against her. Things she had recorded about their relationship - we've seen text messages between them - there was no evidence of physical violence."

If convicted of the highest charge, second-degree murder, reading may face life.
She pleaded not guilty, and her defense completely denied that her vehicle collided with O'Keeffe.
