Boston Celtics recover from injury Jrue holiday to fill a big role

The Celtics endured the damage problem in the first round against the Magic, but they were ready to fight the Knicks. C's C reported no issues with the injury report before Game 1 of the second round, scheduled to be in TD Garden at 7pm on Monday.

It is worth noting that this means Jrue Holiday will return to court. He handled the right hamstring pressure, lifting him out of the last three games of the first round. C's coach Joe Mazzulla said Saturday that the holidays are getting better every day, which seems to be enough for the second round opener.

The Celtics beat the Magic in five games without holidays, but the defender will be a key factor in the New York series. In three regular season games against the Knicks, he averaged 16.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

“He’s a good guy,” Derrick White said. "The person you look up to. He just did it right. He didn't want any praise or recognition, but he was definitely one of the best people in this game. Obviously, he's a great player, but he's his guy, incredible."

Of course, the impact of the holiday is also measured on the defensive end, which is how he makes the Celtics all over again. His ability to defend big players in this game provides the versatility of the defending champion. The holiday guarded Knicks Grand Carl-Anthony Town during the regular season, and even if he was a defender, there were successes. Throughout the series, it would be fun to monitor whether the Celtics can return to the Celtics. That's just another area where the Celtics can throw another wrinkle at the Knicks to keep them balanced.

Jaylen Brown also reported no injuries when he treated bone bruises on his right knee. He played in every game against the Magic in the first round, but was listed as suspicious before the last three games. Asked Saturday about his injury, Brown expressed an optimistic update on his injury, and it sounds like he is almost going all out.

"For me, I just wanted to go back to 100 percent of the way," Brown said. "Physically holding my position and still doing the game for our team. Even if the guys were out - Jrue, (Jayson Tatum) missed a game - able to step in and play the role. I felt decent. Now, moving forward, it's a completely different ball, different teams, different teams, different challenges, different challenges. My focus is fixed."

These are all positive developments for the Celtics as they will be full of strength. Jayson Tatum also did not list in the injury report, as he did not end the magic series, even if the right wrist bone bruises were bruised.
