Actress Blake Lively attempts to withdraw her two claims against director Justin Baldoni.
Since Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, they have all accused him of sexual harassment and smear campaigns after the film ended with us.
Variety said Bardoni's legal team asked Lively to release her medical records, including the therapy instructions, as part of her defense, saying she suffered "severe emotional distress and pain, humiliation, embarrassment."
The publication added that Lively is trying to abandon claims that intentionally causes emotional distress and negligence causes emotional distress.
The court will decide whether to dismiss the claim or force a vivid handover of information related to her mental health.
Variety shows contacted Bardoni's lawyers and they declined to comment.
The BBC also sought comment from both sides.
"Ms Lively's lawyers recently advised us that Ms Lively withdraws her claims (inducing emotional distress) instead of complying with the Medical RFP (request proposal)," the Baldoni legal team said on Monday.
Lively rejected their “reasonable demands, and it is biased to withdraw such claims”, they wrote.
Lively's lawyer told Baldoni's documents were "news stunts" and said her defense was "reducing and focusing" her case.
They added: “Baldonini, who filed retaliatory claims – traders’ strategy has enabled them to provide a wide range of new damages claims under California law, thus making Ms. Lively’s original claim no longer necessary.
“Ms Lively continues to accuse emotional distress, which is part of many other claims in her lawsuit, such as sexual harassment and retaliation, as well as additional extra compensation for all her claims.”
In January, Baldoni opposed lively liveliness and her husband Ryan Reynolds, advocating civil blackmail, slander and privacy violations.
Lively and Baldoni have been in controversy since we ended, an adaptation of a best-selling Colleen Hoover novel released last summer.
In the movie, Lily Bloom, the lead character who plays Lily Bloom, is a young woman who grew up witnessing domestic abuse and is in the same position a few years later.
The singer Taylor Swift was called to the U.S. court last month and she allegedly encouraged Baldoni to accept Lively's script rewrite.
At the time, Swift's representative said: "She was not involved in any actor or creative decisions" and "never seen any editor or any notes on the film."
Variety said the subpoena was revoked after Swift’s legal team opposed the rather “unnecessary fishing expedition” of the legal order.
