If the purpose of the news tour is to get headlines, Bill Belichick recently promoted to his memoir The art of winning, It is an exciting success. The eight-time Super Bowl champion interviewed CBS on Sunday after his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, shut down news reporter Tony Dokoupil's questioning how the two met.

Hudson then visited screenshots of the April 10 email sent by Belichick, condemning media attention to the "negative impact" in the book. Simon & Schuster will publish the book on May 6 with the title "Lessons in My Life". Currently, it is in the top 20 in the Amazon biographical section and may have credibility for any theory that is good news in the press.

Belichick issued a statement after the interview, which read: “I was surprised when I introduced irrelevant topics and I repeatedly told reporter Tony Dokoupil and producers that I would rather have this conversation centered on the book.”

For football fans, Dokoupil's omission of Belichick asked about the omission of memoir Robert Kraft, despite Kraft hiring a coach in 2000. Belichick said that leaving the Patriots "had decided we had a parting way, and dokouupil answered again," he replied, "He said 'belichick.

In a January Instagram post that announced the book, Belichick wrote: “For the past 49 years, my life in football has involved a lot of victory, failure and more: learning.

“My hope for this book is that you learn what I learned in the NFL about sustained success, leadership and what it means to be a team player.” The book also caught the attention of Tom Brady, who wrote: “Coach Belichick brought out my best. His book will do the same for you.”

Under Belichick, the Patriots won a record six Super Bowl titles, most recently at the 2019 Super Bowl LIII. Belichick also won two Super Bowl titles as the New York Giants defensive coordinator. Belichick left the Patriots in 2024 after 24 seasons and left his name with a 333 win, second only to former Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula’s 347 win. Since leaving the NFL, Belichick has joined North Carolina's Tar Heels as head coach.
