Big Rory McIlroy announces ahead of final round Truist title

Only a few weeks into the Augusta National's all-time victory, he took over his first professional master title and completed a professional grand slam - Rory McIlroy resumed his move this weekend with a late rally on Sunday demanding a Truist title in Philadelphia.

Entering the final round, McIlroy finished eighth in three rounds and tied for his close friend Shane Lowry with sixth, who was on the rankings with a 14-shot lead.

Regardless of whether he wins the championship or not, McIlroy will be on another big payday and seems to be building momentum ahead of next weekend's PGA Championship, the second-biggest major of the year.

Aside from the buzz, the news broke out during the game and McIlroy may be planning a return to events outside of the PGA Tour. Rumors suggest Rory can compete for the 11-year race for the first time at the 2025 Australian Open. If confirmed, he would be the big draw for Royal Melbourne in November, helping to rekindle interest in the once-robbery match.

According to golf digest journalist Evin Priest, “No confirmation, but rumors have been that Rory McIlroy will make the Australian Open a competitive return, and there are speculation that Royal Melbourne is the leader in hosting a star-studded tournament.”

Currently ranked second in the world, Rory McIlroy, 36, has played some of the most stable and impressive golf balls in his career. With a lot of seasons on the PGA Tour, he has a real chance to get the ground and probably Scottie Scheffler is the highest-ranked player in the world.
