With the playoffs starting to heat up and now three highly competitive playoff games are officially played in the book, it’s time to turn the page to the regional final leg of the 2025 Texas High School Softball Playoffs.

The Lone Star State's top team on softball diamonds will compete in the regional finals of the playoffs Thursday to Thursday, May 15-17, with the winners reaching the UIL State semi-finals next week.

Here is a closer look at how all regional semifinal playoff games played the big country teams in the third round of the 2025 UIL Softball Playoffs, as well as an early discussion of regional final playoff pairings:

Class 5A I

Abilene High Eagles (20-9) vs. Birdville Hawks (28-3)

• Game 1 - Abilene High 6, Birdville 5
• Game 2 - Birdville 11, Abilene High 1
• Saturday, May 10 at 3-1 at Graham HS

Level 4A I

Brownwood Lions (19-11) vs. Dumas Demeters (32-5)

• Game 1 - Dumas 15, Brownwood 6
• Game 2 - Dumas 8, Brownwood 6

Dumas won a 2-0 best in two-thirds to reach the 4A DI Regional Final.

Completed the 4A of the UIL softball playoffs.

Class 4A Class II

Snyder Lady Tigers (23-7) and Midland Greenwood Rangerettes (18-16)

• Game 1 - Snyder 16, Midland Greenwood 1
• Match 2 - Snyder 2, Midland Greenwood 1

Snyder won 2-0 and reached the 4A DII regional final.
