Biden's archery skills, highlighting humor in newly released HUR interview record

Although the new recording released by Axios records a photo of an elderly man suffering from memory loss, the rare exchange shows the early days of former President Joe Biden and illuminates the findings that could lead to Hur's "sympathy" characterization and investigation.

Biden recalled his visit to Mango in 2011 in an interview with special counsel Robert Hur, who claimed that he "embarrassed the Mongolian leader."

"I went to Mongolia and there were great photos," Biden said. "They were showing - what they would do when they invaded Mongolians in the 14ths in the 1980s.

He described "in the middle of the wilderness", looking up at the mountain and seeing a small bunch of 20-mile racehorses between small saddles under the age of 16.

Biden said with ease: "And you know, some sumo wrestlers do everything they do."

He said the leaders walked to a goal with a hundred yards of hay on it and locals were practicing their goals.

"I think - I don't know if it's to embarrass me or to point, but I got the archer," Biden said. "I'm not a bad archer. But (unbelievable) I could pull it back, so I- pure luck, I hit the damn target."

People in the interview room laughed and Biden assured them: “No, I really did.”

He went on to describe the scene - "In the middle of the hay, there are 20 packs of hay, and there is a big goal."

"So, I don't mean anything, I turned to the Prime Minister and handed it to him and my poor son couldn't pull it back," Biden said.

The room burst into laughter again.

"I was like, 'Oh, God.'" Biden said through a clip.

Hur finally decided that the former president should not be charged with the Obama-era documents after leaving office, calling him "sympathy, kindness, elderly, poor memory."
