The Berlin Film Festival Series Market has announced its 2025 lineup, which includes 17 international series films.
The titles come from 13 countries, ranging geographically from Brazil to South Africa to New Zealand, and in genres ranging from crime thrillers to biopics to black comedies (check out the full lineup below).
The small screen industry event will take place from 16 to 19 February and is part of the Berlin Film Festival's European Film Market (EFM). The Market Selects project will be screened at Berlin's CinemaxX and EFM Gropius Bau cinemas.
In addition to the screenings, EFM will host the 11th Co-Pro series of pitch events, where 10 new projects are seeking production partners. Notable entries include best family from castle Screenwriter Maja Jul Larsen and Director Charlotte Sieling and miami wildlifewith Fernando Meireles (city of god, constant gardener) attached to directly. Emmy Award-nominated director Jennifer Fox (story) will be presented in Berlin ruth's ghosta dystopian story about abortion rights; a new Canadian project, Lucy. Maud. An in-depth look at the life story of beloved Canadian author LM Montgomery (anne of green gables) and New Zealand projects Sk8 or dieFollow the story of legendary barefoot skateboarder Lee Ralph, who will be looking for supporters.
Spain serves as EFM's focus country and will present four series in development to potential co-producers.
