German Sky reported that Arsenal has officially approached Leipzig's RB Leipzig, with the signature of striker Benjamin Sesko.
Sky Sports News was told Arsenal had been exploring the conditions for potential deals.
It is understood that Arsenal is conducting due diligence on many strikers Viktor Gyokeres by Sporting.
No formal bid has been put into place.
Arsenal has long-term interest in Sesko. Sky Sports News January reported that the club is seriously considering taking action - but his agent will exclude it from the Gentleman, at least until this summer, as the Gentleman reached an agreement with Leipzig.
The Gunners also hoped that Sesko would be the first to extend his contract with the German club to 2029 last summer. RB Leipzig is now willing to let him leave after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Sesko scored 21 goals in all games last season, including four assists in the Champions League.
Adam Bate of the Sky:
Slovenia used to have top football players. Samir Handanovic and Jan Oblak thought of it. "But they are all goalkeepers," Matej Orazem told Sky movement. "The goalkeeper can be a star, but having a striker is a completely different thing."
Benjamin Sesko is that striker. The 21-year-old RB Leipzig player has been attracting interest from his biggest club since mid-year. “I think he is destined to be great,” Orazem added.
Orazem is the sporting director of NK Domzale, a club in Slovenia that brought Sesko to their academy at the age of 15. His earliest memories were whispers about a boy living nearby who scored 50 goals in one season against senior players.
"We were quick after that. By the time the media speculation began, the bigger club noticed him and we had a deal. It was obvious to those who went to see him. He was almost a slam dunk at a very young age."
Physically, Sesko stands out. He is now 6 feet 5 inches tall, not short enough at that time. There are stories about him playing basketball from basketball. With a top speed of 35.47 km/h, he is also one of the fastest players in the Bundesliga. Real athlete.
"The body is the decisive factor. He's amazing. With some young talent you want them to play with older people, but if they're not physically ready, you're even more alert. Beny, no doubt, due to his body's presence."
Sesko has very few skills. He instinctively wants to run from deep defense at his own speed, but he is still a player with the physical ability of the target character.
"It's not only physically, but technically." It provides an irresistible combination for top clubs and helps explain why Sesko has a strong connection with Arsenal.
