Mankato - Bemidji Women's Track and Field Team participated in two public meetings Friday and Saturday, attending Maverick Open at Mankato and Cobber Open at Moorhead.
The Mavericks Open saw Beaver Thrower and a multi-event athlete compete. Mille Rosaeg ran the 100-meter hurdler in the finals with 15.33 times but did not compete in the finals. She also competed in the long jump where she ranked 12th with a height of 5.14 meters and a javelin throw of 27.05 meters.
Mikenna Pattrin and Trista Bilden finished fourth and fifth in javelin throws, with distances of 36.92 meters and 35.93 meters, respectively. Zayda Priebe participated in the discus competition championship and finished eighth with a time of 41.87 meters.
At Saturday's Cobb Open, BSU had three student-athletes in the 100-meter DASH preliminaries: Makenna Frazier in 13.16 seconds, Jayden Wodarz in 13.63 seconds, and Hailey Selly in 14.22 seconds. Gabrielle Wilson found the top five in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 19.64 seconds.
Rosaeg ranked first in the 200-meter sprint in 26.08 seconds. In the 1500-meter run, all three competing beavers, Maggie McCarthy, Sophie Rylance and Sydnie Price all set personal bests. Selly also set his best form at 1:14.23 during the 400-meter obstacle.
On the Cobber Open field, Priebe found the top of the podium in the discus competition with a 44.53-meter throw. Elle Bettcher also found her name in the top five, finishing fourth at 36.28 meters. Pattrin marked his personal best match on the hammer throw and won the victory at a distance of 46.88 meters. Zoe Lennon found his best form at 34.18 meters.
Ending the day, Chloe Knott ranked second in pole vault with a personal best vault of 3.08 meters (10-01.25). Pattrin found her second game of the day with a shooting percentage of 12.88 meters. Following closely behind, Beardon set his personal best to 12.38 in third place.
