Belfast PFL results: Paul Hughes

Belfast - Paul Hughes has a rematch with PFL/Bellator lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov on Saturday night, Bruno Miranda took down a 42-second demolition in front of a worshiping town crowd in SSE Arena in Belf, Northern Ireland on Saturday night.

Hughes (14-2) was welcomed into the cage by thousands of attendees, and when he grabbed a kick from the Brazilian, he found the climax of the lightweight brawl, then canceled a cruel left hook, allowing Miranda (17-6) to beat Miranda (17-6) and ended the night's action.

Hughes fought Nurmagomedov in January and immediately targeted the Russian champion in a post-war interview:

"Usman Nurmagomedov!" he snarled. “You can run and try to delay this rematch whenever you need it, but your day is coming!”

In the joint event, a staunch on the Northern Ireland stage returned home as Ballymena's Alan Philpott (21-17) served as a test for defending PFL European bantamweight champion Lewis McGrillen (12-1).

The way to the cage was booed and showered, it didn't matter to McGrillen.

Despite several patented left hand, Philport in the fight had no intention of declining. Knockout artist McGrillen then turned to his lesser famous skill and finished Philpott with a naked choke after the second round.

After the round, McGrilan called for an event in Manchester, the home of many PFL celebrities, including Brendan Loughnane and Dakota Ditcheva.

Late at night, the lightweight stand of the PFL Championship was played alongside Claudio Pacella, Alex Chizov, Gino Van Stennis and Conner Hughes, booking their own spot in the semi-finals.

Hughes (11-2) won one of the biggest results of the night in the final quarterfinals, with his Sebastien di Franco (10-4) scoring cruelly, and he finally climbed onto his feet a few minutes after the suspension.
