Noxon-Cody Haggard beat Noxon-Thompson 16-0 in a high school baseball game on Tuesday, defeating Polson 16-0 in five innings.
Haggard faced 15 batsmen in the game and was over after five innings under the Rules of Mercy.
In the second inning, he hit Noxon's Ian Brown, two games, but Brown was then snatched by receiver Noah Agliano in the second inning. Hegede retired the last nine batsmen in order and struck out four. He covered up nine Red Devils in total.
He also doubled to lead the third inning, scoring on Maddox Bird's single. Landon Pablo's two singles in the same inning put the Buccaneers up 6-0.
Haggard took a home run to lead fourth. Carson Emerson, Brayson Dumont, Pablo, Agliano and Haggard all hit RBI singles in the fifth innings.
Noxon's Polson rose to 13-5, 9-4, and fell to 4-10, 4-10.
Eureka 14, Ronan 4
Ronan - Eureka pitcher Rowan eliminated 11 innings in five innings and shot three games in three games as the Lions won a major victory on Tuesday, winning Ronan for a match in the state tournament next week.
Burow's two-shot single highlighted the first innings of five games for Eureka, who scored in the final nine games of the game within one shot of Ronan. The game ended with five reigns after five events.
Liam Jackson tripled, scoring Ronan inspired three innings. Lucas Johnston's RBI single raised the Chiefs to 5-4.
Tyce van Orden doubled and scored to score the fourth inning of Eureka (11-4, 11-2 in North A Games). Rogan Lytle and Emmet McKim won RBI singles in the frame, and Burrow added a sacrifice fly to lead McKimm 9-4. Lytle scored three points.
Van Orden’s two singles and McKimm’s two three-key Eureka’s fifth inning. Burow took a walk around and hit two in Ronan's half. The Chiefs lost the seventh time in eight games and eventually lost the game 6-10-1.
Eureka will host rivals in the South section on Monday; the team and time will be determined. The winner will make the state a match in Hamilton from May 22 to 24.
Bigfork (League 11-5, 11-3) will head to the South's opponent, and there is no chance to build a state on Monday.
White Fish 12, Hellgate 2
Bonner - Sam Akey and Reed Boyer combined in one goal in five innings, with four Whitefish players running separately in the Bulldogs’ victory over Missoula Hellgate in Kelly Pine Field.
Ryan Conklin had three hits, drove two runs and scored three times for the Whitefish in three holes. Teammate M Brone also scored three times.
Drew Queen, Avery Caton and Finn Ryan also played two runs for Whitefish, who appeared in the state championship game 10-4 (12-5 overall) in the league. Queen and Conklin have doubled the hits.
Akey started from the hill and gave up one hit in the three-innings job, two walks and a future run. He slammed three. Boye threw the last two innings, allowing four walks, but also played five innings.
Seamus Kane tripled, scoring for the Cavaliers.
