"We're going to work hard from the beginning of the season. That's what I can say to the fans. As it is this year. Never give up. We're always trying to win games. It's attitude, mindset."
ESPN reported earlier this week that the club had already advanced in the summer, with central defenders, one defender and another winger when the transfer window opened.
Flick confirmed that he knows where to improve the team next season, but now wants to focus on what the current player gives him in his first season.
"Of course," he said when asked if he had decided where to need steel. “(Sports Director) Deco and I, we’re going to talk about that. Now is the time to speak, and of course we’re going to be there for this time.
"For me, the most important thing is the team. We have players with incredible strength, Lamin, Pedri, Frenki (d de jong), and today I also saw (pau) Cubarsí, his 18-year-old, Raphinha is the highest level...a lot of players.
"To me, Iñigo (Martínez) is an incredible leader. His mindset is incredible; it's special. He's very important in the locker room; (He) has a great connection with the players."
Barcelona still have a game to play, and next Sunday at Sports Club, they will not be on the teams participating in the U.S. Club World Cup until a long break this summer.
