Ana de Armas returns the praise to Tom Cruise.
At the premiere of “Ballet Dancers” at the TLC China Theater in Hollywood on Tuesday night, star Star de Armas said Cruise’s efforts to publicly recognize the film was “incredible”. She also made sure to emphasize that his support for the film did not begin and end with a spin-off of “John Wick.”
"You know, he supports every movie," De Alsace told typeMarc Malkin. "He really wants the industry and the film to be good, want (want) people to go to the theater. We work together, so he has to see 'Ballerina' and he really likes it. He loves 'John Wicks.'"
She continued: "It's very special for someone like him to support ('Ballerina'). Overall, it's really special to have other actors and people support each other. We can do a great job together."
On his news tour, Mission: Impossim - the Chinese Recking, Cruise pays homage to his support for "Ballerina" and speaks out for the dedication he sees from De Armas, Keanu Reeves and the entire "John John Wick" team.
"''John Wick,'I love that franchise and what those guys do," Cruise told the Associated Press. "I know what it takes to create a story like this and do it. Now they have the 'Ballerina' coming out with ANA, which is outstanding."
According to the official log, the Ballerina takes place between the third and fourth "John Wick" films, following De Armas as "the assassin, who received traditional training organized by Ruska Roma (who) began seeking revenge after his father's death."
De Armas also talks about the intense stunt work she does in action-packed movies. "Everything was hurt," she said. "My hands, may the nails break, bruises everywhere, my neck. It's actually very interesting."
"Ballet Dancer" will be released on June 6.
