Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rep. Robert Menendez Rep. Lamonica McIver allegedly rushed into the Delaney Hall Detention Center along with Newark Mayor Ras Ras Baraka, who were arrested and charged with assault. Authorities claimed that an ice hockey agent was attacked during the confrontation, which was stranded by photography.
"If this is a typical U.S. citizen who tries to storm into a detention center for dangerous criminals or anyone, they will be arrested," said Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin, told Fox News Live host Kevin Corke. "Just because you're a member of Congress, or just because you're a public official, it doesn't mean you're beyond the law."

"If you attacked law enforcement, we will also make sure you answer justice," she continued. "So, I think the arrest is still on the table. It's an ongoing investigation."
According to Axios, the Department of Homeland Security's human-camera footage reportedly attacked members of Congress, attacking ice officials, "including female ice officers who were stuffed."
A group of protesters, including lawmakers, including lawmakers, attacked the facility when detainees entered the security gate, according to a press release from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
After the incident, McIver wrote in an X post that the ice “pushed” her and “manipulated” Watson Coleman.

At a press conference, McIver escalated her claims, saying she was “attacked by multiple ice officials and the district director watched the incident.”
DHS videos released to X on Saturday appear to show McIver robbed law enforcement near the gate.
"Watch: U.S. Congresswoman, Lamonica McIver (wearing a red blazer), attacked the gate of the Delaney Hall Detention Center and attacked the hockey agent," DHS captioned the video.
Department of Homeland Security officials have not confirmed any pending charges against those accused of attacking the facility.

Department of Homeland Security officials confirmed that the facilities held were held, including "killers, terrorists, child rapists and MS-13 gang members."
"In contrast to the news statement issued by the DHS, we do not have a 'Storm' detention center," Coleman wrote. "The authors of the press release are so unfamiliar with the facts on the ground that they didn't even count the number of representatives present correctly."
Baraka was handcuffed, detained for five hours and was formally accused of breaking into the facility.
"They do this on charges of trespassing, a municipal charge that is usually handled by votes," Baraka's attorney wrote in a statement to Fox News. "The subsequent release of the court showed that there was no reason to believe that the well-known and respected public official was a flight risk or danger to the community he served."

They also accuse American attorneys in the Alina Habba area of New Jersey of "repeated" making public statements "inaccurate, inflammatory and unfair."
She wrote in a post on Friday X: “Newark Mayor Ras Baraka has committed the trespass and ignored multiple warnings from the Homeland Security Investigation to remove himself from the Ice Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey, and he is willing to choose to ignore the state’s laws.

Baraka's lawyers appear to accuse Habba of "the wrong horse (king) of public statements accusing the mayor of violating the 'rule of law' and "improperly claiming he was guilty of the charge of assault brought against him".
