Gabriel Martinelli suggested Arsenal needs to step up its offense this summer and welcomes any competition brought by newcomers.
Sources told ESPN that Arsenal will enter the forward market at the end of the season and can also be the leading target with sports club Nico Williams.
Arsenal faced Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday, aiming to win the first European history to win the premiere club match.
The Gunners missed the Premier League title and ranked second in their third straight campaign, scoring 17 goals fewer than champion Liverpool.
So Mikel Arteta aims for the final third of progress, and when asked whether speculating whether the pressure on the shoulders has increased, Martinelli said: "We play for Arsenal - every day is the game.
"The club wants to have the best players in the world because it is also one of the biggest players in the world. We're used to it."
Martinelli pushed forward whether he thought the club needed an offensive reinforcement, and he replied: "We are a big club. We need to have the best players. I'm very happy when we have big players on the team."
Martinelli has two years left in his current contract, which was originally joined by Brazilian club Ituano in July 2019 for a £7 million contract.
"I always say I'm really happy here," he said. "This is my home. I love it. I love the club.
“The club gave me so much, not only on the court, but also on the court. I have made great progress in the club – of course, I’m very important on the court, but there’s no court either.
"The club is amazing to me, the people around the club, the fans, everything. I'm really happy here."
Arsenal reached the Champions League semifinal for only the third time, and Martinelli admitted Tuesday's encounter was the biggest game of his life.
"It's a dream to be here," Martinelli said. "Since I started playing football, I dreamed of playing in the Champions League when I was five or six, and it was amazing to get to the semi-finals.
"Everyone who loves football wants to play in this kind of game. Everyone has to have their own dream. You dream of trying to make it a reality."
