Arsenal failed to win the third straight Premier League victory at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday as they were beaten 2-1 by Bournemouth to give the Cherries its first victory against the Gunners.
The home team started the smartest on both sides, Gabriel Martinelli was filled with joy on the left, but when Evanilson drove past the bar from Milos Kerkez's cross, it was the first big opportunity for visitors. Declan Rice had an influence throughout the first half as Cherries struggled to contain him, eventually scoring while relaxing goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga before taking the ball home from Martin Odegaard's pass.
The Gunners could have improved their lead with Bukayo Saka, who turned around before bent over to practice, after which they lost their concentration, which led to several turnovers. William Saliba did a nice job of cleaning up a Bournemouth counterattack led by Antoine Semenyo, but Arsenal then admitted from the throw because no one jumped in the red to challenge Dean Huijsen to challenge the equalizer.
More trouble defending the fixtures gave the Cherries eight minutes later a lead when Evanilson flashed from the corner, and Var believes there is no conclusive evidence in the fight with Martin Odegaard.
Manager Mikel Arteta made a triple replacement, trying to get something back from the game, although it was too late as visitors kept the three points.
No other key damage means manager Mikel Arteta doesn't need to change preparations for the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Paris Saint-Germain. Declan Rice also continues to be in excellent form.
The defensive suit restored Bournemouth to the game. Despite Martin Odegaard's misfortune in his quarrel with Evanilson, Arsenal's failure to challenge Dean Huijsen's first goal was careless.
The results also mean that Arsenal has not confirmed their place in the top five yet to secure eligibility for the Champions League next season.
Mikel Arteta, 5- When the standard dropped, Arteta replaced it too late in the second half. When Bournemouth began to force a turnover, he didn't adapt in the second half either.
GK David Raya, 5- The goalkeeper's assignment may be better, as inaccurate passes can get stuck on several occasions. Acknowledged from Bournemouth's first shot on the goal of the game.
DF Myles Lewis-Skelly, 6- Bournemouth's attack on the opposite wing was prioritized, but Lewis Secley keenly positioned his attacks during most of the game's defensive phases, but Bournemouth wasn't that busy.
DF Jakub Kiwior, 6- Chiville had a good fight with Evanilson, sticking to his mission before a Bournemouth advance made him drop off the ball.
DF William Saliba, 7- French International responded to danger when asked, and carried out crucial interventions that prevented Marcus Tavernier from reaching Dango Ouattara's pass. There was a strong tackle on Antoine Semenyo that stopped the counterattack, but unfortunately Cherry scored on the subsequent throws.
DF Ben White, 6- Arsenal's right back allowed his winger to accompany him in certain defensive situations, although he also had to realize that opposition left back Milos Kerkez's channel runs frequently. The second half was sometimes too narrow, and it brought Bournemouth into the box. As we move forward, we have a good connection with Bukayo Saka.
MF Thomas Partey, 6- The party blocked the opposition from establishing in the central region in the first half, and he best scored the ball when he took a simple choice. The ball was accidentally dropped in the second half.
MF Declan Rice, 8- Arsenal's engine at Bournemouth midfielder worked hard to control him as he worked tirelessly to run regular runs from the midfield to receive the ball in dangerous areas. He put the Gunners ahead with a win after goalkeeper, though he could have done more to prevent Dean Huijsen's equalizer from heading for free. That said, it seems that he expects his teammates to clear the danger.
MF Martin Odegaard, 7- Arsenal’s captain was quiet during the opening exchanges, but he eventually came to life with a keen pass and found that Rice provided an assist for the opening goal. Unfortunately in the second half, Evanilson was able to have no big connection with Bournemouth's second goal without any connection.
FW Gabriel Martinelli, 6- The 23-year-old often got his mark in the first half by Julián Araujo, putting a lot of aggressive dribbling on the boat to the left before putting a quality cross into the box. In the 27th minute, when he lost his goal from Saka's pass, his chances should be done better. However, the second half was quiet and tried to make as much impact as possible.
FW Leandro Trossard, 6- Enter the channel, create space for teammates, and be confident in the property during the transition period. An unfortunate header in the first half forced goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to stop online.
FW Bukayo, from 6-- Bukayo Saka has productive ownership in the premium area, where he has a great connection with Arsenal’s premium choices and Ben White, who discovered them in the opposition’s box in the first half. The effort of whipping on his right foot approaches the score, thus bringing the post upwards.
MF Mikel Merino, N/R (replace meter, 74 inches) - Run to stretch the opposition’s defensive line, but find no room to get any real chance.
FW Ethan Nwanareri, N/R (reflective OCE Watching his mark in the box. Feeling frustrated and fouled Kerkez.
FW Raheem Sterling, N/R (replaced Martinelli, 86 inches) - To give Gabriel Martinelli more energy. It was late to cut the ball back to Martin Odegaard before Alex Scott took a significant hurdle.
DF Oleksandr Zinchenko, N/R (replace with white, 86 inches) - Started Arsenal's offense and dribbled at confident pace, over David Brooks, but didn't have much time to make an impact.
