Consumers with SIRI devices, including iPhones, MacBooks and AppleTV, may be eligible for financial claims, as part of Apple's $95 million settlement, as alleged that the voice assistant eavesdropped on them.
The settlement stems from a 2021 lawsuit by Fumiko Lopez, a California resident with multiple Apple devices, and other consumers claiming that Siri listened to private or confidential conversations. The lawsuit allegedly shared the discussions with third-party businesses, such as restaurants and clothing brands, and then targeted ads in Apple Search and its Safari web browsers.
"Apple denies all allegations in the lawsuit and denies that Apple has done anything that is improper or illegal," the settlement website noted.

According to the settlement website, people who have Siri enabled iPhones and other Apple devices between September 17, 2014 and December 31, 2024 and "experienced unexpected Siri activation during confidential or private communications" are eligible to file a claim.

This will depend on how many people file a claim, but the settlement website states that the cap on each Siri-enabled device is $20. This means that consumers with iPhone, MacBook and Apple Watch can receive up to $60.
According to the settlement website, you can file claims for up to five Siri-enabled devices, with a maximum expenditure of $100.
Some consumers receive an email or postcard and notify them about the Apple solution, as well as the claim ID number and confirmation code. Recipients of these emails or postcards can use the claim ID and confirmation code to submit a claim on the settlement website by July 2, 2025.
However, if you do not receive an email or postcard but believe you are eligible for a settlement, you can still submit by clicking on the "New Requirements" on the same link. Prompt you with information such as your name, address and proof of your purchased Apple device that is eligible for a solution.

The settlement website notes that the final approval hearing for the solution is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on August 1, 2025, but an appeal may be filed to delay spending. It said: "If there is no appeal, your settlement benefits will be processed quickly. Please be patient."
