New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) had a busy day on social media on Sunday, posting a series of rants related to President-elect Donald Trump on Instagram .
She began by criticizing TikTok for sending a notification thanking "President Trump" for reinstating the app.
“The United States has enacted laws banning TikTok, which unfortunately means you can’t use TikTok right now. We are fortunate that President Trump has said he will work with us on solutions to restore TikTok once he takes office. Please Please stay tuned,” the notice said.
She said in an Instagram Story that Trump is not yet president and is still a private citizen, suggesting that mentioning him in this way could raise concerns about TikTok rhetoric.

"First of all, Donald Trump is not the president now. He is a private citizen. He has no presidential power, he has no ability to do anything," AOC said.
She claimed that the app's mention of Donald Trump in the notification "demonstrated that they had agreed to work privately with Donald Trump and the Trump administration."
She added: "While there are concerns that TikTok will be used by the Chinese as a propaganda tool, please understand that they are using it as a propaganda tool for the right."
She warned her followers, "We are on the eve of a dictatorship. This is what fascism looks like in the 21st century."
