At one of the top universities in the United States, the brewing controversy over "goalkeeper-like" emails has attracted the attention of Capitol Hill.
R-Texas Rep. Troy Nehls wrote to Brown University Friday morning, urging the school to reconsider any disciplinary measures targeted Alexa second-year student, sent an email reflecting the style of Elon Musk's Ministry of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which asked non-faculty college workers about their "full day" work.
"The report shows that Mr. Shieh engages in journalistic behavior, contacting university administrative employees to ask about his role and responsibilities. This action appears to be from his perspective because he is a student who pays a lot of tuition and experiences concerns about university facilities, which leads him to question the allocation of administrative resources," Nehls wrote...Read more
