Angel Reese's decision during Chicago Sky's first victory initially attracted the attention of Athlon Sports.

Chicago sky rose to 1-4 in the 2025 WNBA season after Thursday's victory against the Dallas Wings. Not only is it the Sky’s first win this season, but it is the first win of head coach Tyler Marsh’s career.

It was a full-scale effort for Chicago, with Kamilla Cardoso scoring 23 points, Ariel Atkins adding 17 points, while Courtney Vandersloot Chipping scored 13 points. Vandersloot also became the franchise's all-time leading scorer with 3,728 points.

Chicago Sky clutched to the lead of 95 to 92 with 29 seconds left, bringing together incredible ownership, causing Atkins to make a pull-up jump. This raised the sky by 5 minutes, leaving only 16.3 seconds.

After Vandersloot hit Cardoso from the ball screen, Cardoso finds Angel Reese open under the basket. Instead of kicking off, Rees collected the ball and found Rebecca Allen in the corner, who ended up getting an assist from the game.
