Copenhagen-based Trustnordisk signed a further deal and made it first the dark comedy "The Last Viking" ("Knight of Justice") written and directed by Anders Thomas Jensen.

The cast is his usual "crime partner" Mads Mikkelsen ("Another Round", "Fantastic Beasts") and Nikolaj Lie Kaas ("Britannia, "Britannia", "Like Our Family"), and Sofie Gråbøl ("Murder", "Murder House", "House Built by Jack").

One of the hottest Danish champions that Zentropa Pic will launch later this year is the addition of Spain (Avalon), Greece (Videorama) and Bulgaria (Beta Film).

Earlier pre-sales are related to Neue Visionen in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Benelux films in September, PLAION in Italy, Estinfilm for the Baltics, Vertigo Media in Hungary, Poland for Poland for Polland for Polland for Poland, Czech Rovepublic and Slovakia, Slovakia and Slovakia, Slovakia, Singapore, Singapore, and StarCat Cable Network Co.'s September film rights.

TrustNordisk will launch a fresh scene of the picture in the promotional Rell Slate demo at the Cannes market.

“Seeing the 'The Last Vikings' continues to attract such a strong international interest, we are delighted to work with our friends in Avalon again,” said Nicolai Korsgaard, sales director at Trustnordisk. “These latest sales are a testament to the wide appeal of this film and the outstanding creative team behind it.”

Jensen's former image "Rider of Justice" was also rejected by Trustnordisk, selling to Magnolia Pictures' type tag magnets almost worldwide, which was issued in the United States.

Jensen's sixth image released Anker (Kaas)'s "humor, funny and sly story", who went to jail after 15 years of robbery. Only one person knows where the money in the robbery is buried - unfortunately, his brother Manfred (Mikkelsen), who doesn't know where it is, has since developed a mental illness that affects his memory. The brothers embark on an unexpected journey together to find the money and discover who they are.

"The heart of the movie is that everyone is not a thing," Jansen said. "Sometimes we tend to forget that, whether it is when defining who we are, or when making judgments about others.

Jensen said he created some of the most disconnected characters for star actors and a compelling physical transformation for him Mikkelsen said his delivery in the picture covers “literally a lot of characters” and “depending on how you interpret the movie, Mikkelsen can (even) (even the last Vikings), but I hope it’s not the last one!” he quipped, adding. “Besides their infamous barbaric traits and predatory nature, you actually leave behind some great Vikings, such as accepting your things, taking responsibility for your actions, never succumbing to self-pity, and believing that the truth, i.e. spoken language, is divine and unparalleled.”

“The Last Viking” was produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Sidsel Hybschmann for Zentropa Entertainment4, in co-production with Zentropa Sweden and Film i Väst, with support from The Danish Film Institute, FilmFyn, Eurimages, Nordisk Film & TV Fond, The Swedish Film Institute and Creative Europe Media Programme, in collaboration with TV2 and Nordisk Film Distribution.

The local version is scheduled for October 9, 2025.
