Al Ahli won 10-man Al Hilal on Tuesday in Jeddah, booking a spot in Saturday's Asian Champions League elite final to keep their dream of being the first mainland champion.
Roberto Firmino and Ivan Toney scored goals in the ninth and 27th minutes to put Matthias Jaissle's side in two goals before Salem al-Dawsari reduced the deficit from the intervals by three minutes.
The second yellow card for defender Kalidou Koulibaly dropped the four-fold championship by 10 players in the last 30 minutes, although Yassine Bounou saved a late penalty from Franck Kessié, and Franck Kessié's fine was late, while Feras Al-Brikan finished third.
"It was a great night," Juster said. "I was so proud of every player and what we did as a unit, I'm also a unit, and I mean with the fans of the stadium. It was a totally deserved victory.
“We know it will be a tough battle, but I’m very happy with how we handle this.”
Al Ahli never won the Asian title, lost in the finals in 1986 and 2012 and will face fellow Al Nassr or Japan's Kawasaki Frontale in the Decider. The two faced in their second semifinal Wednesday.
When Roger Ibañez released Galeno from half his own, his first cross was released when the Brazilian's first cross was brought to the six-code box in the Philippines by Firstino.
Al Ahli dominated and their pressure paid off in the 27th minute, although their celebrations were briefly put on hold.
Riyad Mahrez's Slide-Rule pass unleashed Toney behind the defense, who rolled the ball back after Boundou bypassed Bounou, but, despite the assistant referee lifting his flag to deviate from offside, VAR comments gave the goal the joy to Al Ahli fans.
Despite being second in the entire 45 minutes, Hallal's Hilal, who had three minutes left, retreated for one minute.
Renan Lodi's attempt to pass through the edge of the free throw area, the retreating Kessié meets Kessié, who luckily lands at the feet of Al-Dawsari, who instinctively smashes his shot outside of Édouard Mendy.
Al Hilal's hopes of completing their comeback were stuffed on the hour mark as Ibanez was sent out a defender after a foul, the second yellow card, which was previously booked for a trembling body check on Toney.
Both Firmino and Galeno attacked the post with Al Ahli, seeking a third, and when Hamad al-Tuhayfan dropped Mahrez, Kessié saw the 85th minute fine Bounou saved.
Substitute al-Brikan ended up finishing third in Al Ahli's match as Al Hilal was eager to grow evenly, which delighted home fans at Abdullah Sports City Stadium.
