'AI come to work. This comes from my work, too. This is a wake-up call

CEO of Fiverr (NYSE: FVRR) Micha Kaufman Not sugar-coated in the reality of artificial intelligence. Kaufman wrote frankly in a company-wide email that spans the wave of online, “AI comes to work. Oops, this is my job too.

Kaufman said in a May 21 interview with CBS News that the email was a response to his team's upset. "They aren't really waiting for my email," he said. "This email is a verification of what they feel. You know, that's talking to our team publicly and directly, like adults."

Don't miss:

Kaufman's message has nothing to do with fear, but urgency. He encouraged employees to embrace AI as a tool to improve output and quality, saying it should be like gaining a "superpower."

"My expectations are twice or three times the output per unit time, the same quality," Kaufman told CBS News. "If it used to take three months to build and then fail... today we can test it in three days."

He urged his team to automate 100% of its repetitive tasks. "This might raise a question that will make them replace it? My answer is definitely not."

He told CBS News: "Because when you have all the time for free... you can free up time to do things that humans have special features - wireless thinking, judging phone calls, savoring taste, making decisions, thinking about strategies."

His belief: AI will not eliminate humans from work. It will force people to redouble their efforts.

trend: Becoming part of the next Med-Tech breakthrough, with just $350-500 surgeries, Nview's AI system has been completed.

Meanwhile, others in the industry sound similar alerts, especially when it comes to entry-level jobs.

LinkedIn Chief Economic Opportunity Officer Aneesh Raman AI has replaced beginner roles such as junior software engineers, paralegals and retail associations, writes May 27 in the New York Times. "The first thing that breaks is the lowest point of the career ladder," Raman wrote.

He warned that college graduates felt the most stressed, with their unemployment rate rising to 30% since 2022.

Raman also highlights the long-term consequences. "Young people who were unemployed at the age of 22 expect to earn about $22,000 in the next decade," he wrote in the Times.

To address this, Raman said the company had to rethink entry-level work. He pointed to such a company KPMG and MacFarlaneswhich gives new employees a higher level of responsibilities and uses AI to help rather than replace them.

"They need to redesign entry-level jobs to provide workers with higher-level tasks that add value beyond what AI can generate," Raman wrote.

Kaufman and Raman's message is that AI is here, and it's not gone. But the challenge is not to escape it, but to learn how to work with it and make room for what only humans can do.
