Adam Sandler respects him Happy Gilmore Co-star Morris, who appeared in the 1996 comedy after his death. The actor shared a long tribute to Morris, who retired in 2006 after appearing in many films.
"Goodbye, Morris," Sandler wrote on X. "We'll all miss you. You might be hard on directors, makeup artists, costumers - people with arms or legs - but I know you did it for the ultimate benefit of the movie. You'll never forget your art unless we dispatched my craft on 40 supervisors. Bar, you've made me have half the bigger."
He continued: "I know your character's decapitation in the first movie prevented you from participating in the sequel, but we all appreciate the fruit basket and the funny notes. I'll miss your tail that slips on the tall turf, your cold, bumpy skin, but most of the time, I'll miss your infectious laughter.
Colorado Crocodile Farm confirmed they didn’t know Morris’ age, but his career in Hollywood dates back to the 70s. "Morris is known for his work on many films and TV shows from 1975 to 2006, when he retired to live with the Colorado Crocodile," the farm shared in a statement. "His exact age is not known, but he grew 9 feet in 1975 and we can estimate his age in over 80 years due to his growth rate and loss of teeth. While we know it is inevitable, his last year is inevitable and we feel very sad about his death Rip Morris."

Sandler is ready to release Happy Gilmore 2 On Netflix this summer, it sounds like Morris isn't going to be a part of it. The long-awaited sequel, released on July 25, brings Sandler’s titular role, as well as Julie Bowen’s Virginia Venit and Christopher McDonald’s shooter McGavin. It will appear Travis Kelce, Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutkosky, Blake Clark and Maxwell Jacob Friedman.
