"A Man named Ove" Producer Board of Directors Bike Biography "Steelgrandpa"

The outstanding true story of Gustaf Håkansson, affectionately known as "Stålfarfar" or "Steel Grandpa", the Stockholm-based production company Trive Stories brings best-selling writer Jens Lapidus and award-winning producer Nicklas Wikström Nicastro to the big screen.

Title Steelgrandpathe feature film will be filmed in Sweden and will be filmed by famous director Mårten Klingberg ("Off Track"). The script, by Gudrun Giddings ("Secret World") and Cameron Johann ("A American in Austin"), tells the inspiring and humorous story of Håkansson, who were 65 years old, violated the competition officials who banned him from attending the first Sverigeloppet in 1951 because his age was because of his age. Anyway, he was uncomfortable riding this 6-day national bicycle tour without formal entry, eventually surpassing many competitors and becoming a Swedish beloved folk hero.

“This story is full of heart, just a story we want to advocate,” said Nicastro, whose film A Man named Ove is both a hit Swedish box office award and an Oscar nominee. He also co-produced "The Happiest Day in Olli Mäki's Life", winning a certain award in Cannes.

Joining the production was the producer Giddings, known for “fly paper and mercy”, Tora Greiff Bergström (“Paradis City”). The executive production team features industry veterans Jeff ("Crow") and Brent Shields ("The Magic of Ordinary Days"). Distribution in the Nordic region will be handled by Scanbox Entertainment.
