Christie Brinkley still feels like a "uptown girl" at the age of 71.
The former Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model wrote a memoir, "Uptown Girl," which explores her star and the pitfalls she faces.
During Thursday's "Fox & Friends" appearance, the star was asked how she kept her camera in shape for years. Brinkley shared her diet without hesitation.

“First of all, my first beauty secret is that I’ve been a vegan since I was a kid,” Brinkley said. “And I really believe that if everyone at least try to be vegan or vegan…I’m currently vegan. It’s been a year since I’ve been.”
“So give it a try,” she encouraged the audience. "You will love it. You will never feel better. You will help our planet, which is crucial."
The model previously told Fox News Digital that she is a big fan of the “rainbow diet” or “bright food” and is rich in vitamins and minerals.

"It makes my body make up my body - you really, really, what you eat," she shared. "I'm nutritious and kind to myself, and I never feel like I denying myself."
“It’s no longer called diet,” Brinkley stressed. “There’s no denying that…I’ve been saying that the more you know about food, vitamins, minerals and exercise, and how it works on body chemistry, the more you get good stuff because you want to cheer up your body. That’s what I do.”

Back in her early styling years, Brinkley quickly ate and lost weight before taking photos. Now, Brinkley says she refuses to deny her favorite food. Moderation is key, she said.

She smiled and said, "If I happen to be traveling, or someone's birthday, you have to eat the cake because not taking a bite of the birthday cake is not good luck." "I do that, and I said, 'Good.' I'm not going to beat myself.
"I've always been vegetarian," Brinkley said. "But about a year ago, I became vegan and I was really, really excited because I never felt better. I eat a lot of cereals, beans and all kinds of colorful foods."

She sang, "Slow down, you crazy kid, you are so ambitious to the teenager." "But seriously, slow down. Enjoy everything. Taste everything. But live."
Back in 2021, Brinkley told Fox News Digital that she would not be able to pay scale to manage her weight. Instead, she lets the clothes speak.
"I didn't stomp," she said at the time. "My 'honesty jeans' tell me the truth. I'll try to see where I'm. If I fit these, I'll feel good. When they're too tight, that's OK."

"At first, I was a little surprised because I was wearing a lot of sweatpants all the time." But for me, it was a smaller part and more exercise. I chose to focus on calculating my blessings because once you start to realize everything in life that you are grateful for, it won’t be a big deal. ”
In 2019, Brinkley told Fox News Digital that it was crucial for years to keep your body moving.
“I have always loved sports and doing things outdoors,” she said. “Whether it’s running around tennis courts, standing paddling, skiing, kayaking, cycling, mountain trails – I just like being active and doing things.”

"It's very important to keep moving forward every day, especially at my age," Brinkley continued. "My enemies are sitting. It's a big mistake for people to think that they need to sit down. It's the worst thing you can do. You have to make yourself a physical therapist, figure out what causes these pains and pains, build muscles and keep moving forward."
