Ultimately, the Golden Knights were on the board - it took the last moment to achieve an amazing victory in Edmonton. But first, savvy Oiler veteran Corey Perry scored two points to lead the master 2-0 with the first. The Cavaliers did not avoid it, leading the game 2-2 before the end of this period. William Karlsson's second-stage score put Vegas in a 3-2 lead, which would remain until 16:58 in the third inning, when Connor McDavid tied it to three.
