Maja Stark officially won her first major title.
The Swedish golfer won two wins on Sunday afternoon at Erin Hills, giving her the American Women’s Open Championship. It marks her second professional LPGA Tour victory.

As a result, Stark will also receive the biggest prize for women's golf. She received a check of $2.4 million.
USGA has offered $12 million in wallets this season, matching the largest wallets offered by the game and the biggest money for women’s golf as a whole. Stark won her inaugural victory at the LPGA Tour at the Handa World Invitational in 2022, and she won a non-member victory. This week, she finished just the top ten in eight tournaments, despite having won six wins on the Ladies European Tour. Stark entered the week with No. 33 in the Rolex rankings.
Stark started the day with a one-shot lead, all of whom he played 72 to finish the week. This put her in a 7-shot low, two away from top-ranked Nelly Korda and other fields.
