The 151st run of the Kentucky Derby will be held later today.
But there will be plenty of activities for Chruchill Downs throughout Saturday during the famous horse racing event in the "Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports".

Only 20 horses will enter the starting gate on Saturday night for a moment to run in the Kentucky Derby. Winning a place on the legendary Churchill Downs track is not easy. Horses travel through the United States and the world, participating in a series of selected competitions. If they earn enough points, they will earn one of 20 attractions in the Kentucky Derby.

The weather is expected to affect Saturday's activities. Despite fears that rain will fall during the 2024 Kentucky Derby, it will eventually come. Churchill did handle the rain on Friday. If rain falls on Saturday, some muddy conditions may occur.

Fox Weather forecasts that Louisville is 94% likely to rain. The high is expected to be in the 1960s. The Kentucky Derby has never been cancelled due to the weather alone.
The Kentucky Derby has the most profitable wallet in the Triple Crown incident. This year's Derby champion will receive $3.1 million in $5 million in his wallet. This figure is $2 million more than the 2023 total. The runner-up will receive a prize of $1 million, while the third will receive $500,000.
Finally, the fourth-place finisher will receive $250,000 and the fifth-place finisher will receive $150,000.
