Carlsbad, Calif. - After 54 strokes, the 30 teams at the NCAA Men's Golf Championship at North Course at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa were almost after Sunday night's cuts.

Defending national champion Auburn accelerated the court with 18 holes and sat down with a four-shot lead at Arizona State. In the individual competition, Miss Ole, Michael La Sasso led the way with 11 shots in 205.

However, the last position of Monday's round has not been determined. After the two teams ended with 17 points, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest will enter the playoffs before the final round.

The top teams after the final round of stroke will start on Monday, which begins Tuesday morning.

Meet the team that made its first layoff at Omni La Costa:

NCAA men's golf champion team to advance

1. Auburn, 10 seconds

Almost all defending national champions are locked in the game. The star duo of Brendan Valdes and Jackson Koivun leads again.

2. Arizona, under 6 years old

The second round leader dropped a little on Sunday, but Monday’s strong round will ensure the Sun Devil’s position in the game.

3. Open, 3

The Sooners led after the first round and fell down the rankings after the third round, but they had a great game after losing last year’s game.

4. Florida, 1

The SEC and NCAA Bremerton Regional Champions will continue their playoff performance and hope to regain the game after winning the championship in 2023.

T-5. Oklahoma, 5 years old

The Cowboys got a bag of results after the first three days, but Preston Stout has been consistent. On Monday, Tok needed a strong round to move forward.

T-5. Texas, 5 years old

Texas is also a great place to go on Sunday when tied with OSU, but it takes a great game to play.

7. Florida, 9 years old

The defending national runner-up shot 10 on Sunday. The Seminoles were the fifth seed of last year.

Texas Tech tied for the lowest round of the day with a score of 286 and 2, and put forward 11 positions on the rankings, not only in the last round, but also into the competition.

T-8. Ole Miss, 12 years old

Michael La Sasso has been a great performance for Ole Miss, but the rest of the roster needs a better Monday to play.

T-8. Texas A&M, 12 years old

It was a brilliant day for the Aggies, with Phicaksn Maichon taking 4 under 68 and leading into the game. Another similar day Monday could mean a game.

11. Virginia, 13 years old

Virginia played a year ago and recovered after starting more than 11 times, but the Cavaliers needed a strong round to continue playing after Monday.

12. BYU, 14 years old

BYU competed in the third round Thursday, with the Cougars sitting at home watching them from the outside of the cutout to the inside.

T-13. Pepperdine, 15 years old

Waveshave stayed consistent, hitting 5, 6 and 4 in the first three rounds, but they needed to be closer to par or shot in red numbers to play.

T-13. Vanderbilt, 15 years old

Vandy was three shots better than Friday and Saturday, while similar improvements were needed on Monday to get the game back on the way.

Georgia Tech/Waker Forest, 17 years old

Both teams will head to the playoffs Monday morning to determine who plays in the final round of the stroke.
