President Donald Trump announced in the CFPB statement that Donald Trump appointed Acting Director Scott Bessent of the Consumer Financial Protection.
Former director Rohit Chopra posted a letter to Trump on the social media platform on Saturday, confirming his term “conclusion” in the agency's term.
Bessent is a former hedge fund manager. He was recognized as the head of the US Ministry of Finance on January 27. He probably led CFPB until the permanent draft right.
BESSENT said in a Monday statement: “I look forward to cooperating with CFPB to promote President Trump's agenda to reduce the cost of the American people and accelerate economic growth.”
Chopra was appointed by former President Joe Biden in 2021. He often strives to do his best at the Loggerheads of the American banking industry, and strives to seriously control the late funds and overdraft fees of credit cards, as well as many other efforts. The trade group representing the bank fights with these regulations in court, resisting the rules that will save billions of dollars for Americans, but the industry is called inappropriate consideration or unreasonable.
The banking group predicts that Trump will launch Jopla, but Jopla will be fired in the past two weeks after Trump's second term. The account was closed unfairly.

The term of Chopra was scheduled for about two years, but the decision of the Supreme Court in 2020 gave the president's power to dismiss the person in charge of the agency at will.
Jopra said in a tweet that he saw the next CFPB leader to “meaningful reform”, including possible credit card interest rates.
CFPB was created after the global financial crisis in 2008, and part of the crisis was caused by banks' irresponsible loans and securitization practice.
However, the agency has been targeted by the Trade Group since then. They failed to defend that CFPB's funds violated the US Constitution. Recently, conservative characters, including X owner and Trump consultant Elon Musk The US Constitution, the latter calls for eliminating CFPB.
The Consumer Banking Association said on Monday that the appointment of BESSENT in CFPB is “happy”, and BESSENT should take measures to reverse the “party policy” under Chopra.
“We hope that Minister BESSENT will take into account the consequences of consequences in the United States, the millions of consumers and the entire economy regulations in the real world.”
