Let's start with the news Donald Trump announces deals totaling over $20 billion between the United States and the United Arab Emiratesincluding a $14.5 billion commitment between Boeing, GE Aerospace and Etihad Airways, which promised to strengthen U.S.-Gulf State on a multi-day trip.

Boeing and General Electric received a promise from Etihad Airways to invest $14.5 billion to buy 28 US-MADE-MADE-MADE-BOEING 787 and 777x aircraft powered by GE engines, the White House said Thursday.

“With its fleet's next-generation 777X planned, investment deepens a long-term commercial aviation partnership between the UAE and the United States, fuels U.S. manufacturing and drives exports,” the White House said.

Atihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves said last month that the airline plans to add 20 to 22 new aircraft to its fleet of about 100 aircraft this year, as it aims to expand Abu Dhabi's economic diversification strategy to more than 170 aircraft.

Atihad, owned by Abu Dhabi, owned by ADQ, a US$22.5 billion wealth fund, has undergone years of restructuring and management, but has expanded under Neves.

He said 10 of the new aircraft this year will be Airbus A321LR, which was launched on Monday and will begin operations in August. The rest include six Airbus A350s and four Boeing 787s.
