A New York State court heard that the Sean “Didy” comb was allegedly attempting to break into his ex-girlfriend's apartment with a hammer after an infringement in an intercontinental hotel in 2016.
Security videos of Mr Combs' attack on then-girlfriend Casandra “Cassie” Ventura have been shown to the jury several times in his sex trafficking trial.
Ms. Ventura’s former best friend Kerry Morgan on Monday recounted how Mr. Coms allegedly tried to hit Ventura’s apartment in the aftermath, describing the incident as horrible.
Mr. Coms, 55, pleaded not guilty to extortion, sex trafficking and traffic for prostitution. If convicted, he may face life in prison.
Ms Morgan told the court that after the hotel incident, she was in Ms. Ventura’s Los Angeles apartment, looking at the peep hole as Mr. Coms “knocked the door with a hammer”.
Ms Morgan told the court that as it developed, she thought Ms. Ventura didn't care that Mr. Coms “comes came in and killed her.”
Ms Morgan said Mr Coms did not enter the apartment and police arrived about three hours later. No complaint was filed.
The court heard more allegations of violent outbreaks from hip-hop tycoons. Ms Morgan said she saw him drag Ms Ventura to the 50-yard corridor during her vacation in Jamaica because she “spent too long in the bathroom”.
Witnesses told the court that she had also suffered violence at Mr. Coms' hands, accusing him of choking her in 2018 and throwing a wooden hanger over her head while asking to know that Ms. Ventura was cheating on him.
Ms. Morgan had a concussion and had to go to emergency care, the court heard.
Ms. Morgan said the two women were best friends for 17 years, but after that, their friendship ended.
She told the court that Ms Ventura met her at a West Hollywood pizza store about a month later and offered her $30,000 (£22,450) to sign a non-public agreement. They agreed and hadn't spoken for the seven years since then.
“I draw a line on physical abuse,” Ms. Morgan said.
After Ms. Morgan resigned from the witness stands, Mr. Coms' former personal assistant David James testified.
Mr James told the court that he often worked 20 hours a day, Saturday to seven days a week, and he once posted photos of Mr Combs in his bad boys entertainment office, and a senior staff member told him: “This is Mr Combs' kingdom. We are all here to serve this.”
The former assistant also recounted a conversation he heard in Manhattan when he was in an Escalade SUV with a comb and some entourage.
When a friend asked Ms. Ventura, Mr. Coms said, “Cassy is fine. I put her stuff where I wanted her, she was young.”
Mr James recalled the boss and said, “He said she was rotten.”
The trial will continue on Tuesday with Mr James at the witness booth.
