The University of Texas Austin Athletics Department has long been declared for accessing seemingly unparalleled financial resources.

The Texas Longhorn Football Program is arguably the best (if not top) facility in the country.

Financial resource plans across the United States have seen a significant increase since the advent of Name, Image and Similarity (NIL), and have been allocated to football, basketball and other sports.

Ohio State reportedly built one of the country’s most expensive rosters in January.

Some assert that Texas' spending on entering the 2025 campaign is equal to or more than the $20 million spent by the Buckeyes.

Texas coach Steve Sarkisian denied the $40 million price associated with the Longhorns.

The Sakis mentioned the recent Houston Chronicle column, which highlights the Texas roster salary. The column accounts for revenue sharing and Texas has no zero collective spending. According to the media, the total income sharing funds totaled $20.5 million. The total amount spent on football teams is reportedly between $350 and $40 million.

Sarkisian suggested $25 million is a more accurate figure for Texas investment. He also hinted that the $40 million figure was the result of an “irresponsible report.”

“There is anonymous source saying that's our lineup. I wish I had $40 million in my roster. We'll probably be a little better than our team,” the coach said during a recent appearance on Siriusxm's college sports radio.

Then, Sarkisian talks about the current landscape of college football.

He said: “The idea of thinking that many other schools don’t spend money to attract players?
