Qatar and us are using as Air Force news in negotiations about luxury aircraft

Democrats and good administration advocates say Trump accepts it is immoral and may be unconstitutional.

The United States is discussing an offer from the Qatar royal family to offer luxurious giant jets as presidential aircraft.

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump said it plans to accept Boeing 747-8 passenger planes as a temporary replacement for Air Force One. The news has raised a warning from critics that it is immoral to accept the plane.

Qatar denied in a statement that the plane would be a gift, saying the transfer of the plane's “temporary use” is under discussion.

Ali Al-Ansari, spokesman, said the Qatar Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Defense are still considering the proposal and “no decision has been made yet.”

But in an article on the truth about his social media site later Sunday, Trump seemed to confirm that he intends to accept the plane as a gift.

The cost is about $400 million, which will be one of the most valuable gifts the U.S. government has ever made.

“The Department of Defense is receiving free gifts from 747 aircraft to replace the 40-year-old Air Force One, temporarily passing a very open and transparent deal, thus disturbing the bending Democrats they insist on paying for the aircraft,” the Republican president wrote.

Democrats and good administration advocates say it is unethical and may be unconstitutional to accept the plane as a gift.

“Nothing says 'America first' like Air Force One,'” Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer wrote on X.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt rejected such claims.

“Any gift given by a foreign government is always in full compliance with all applicable laws. President Trump's administration is committed to full transparency,” she said.

Trump parked the Qatari-owned 747-8 at Palm Beach International Airport near his Margrago resort in February.

At the time, the White House said the president did this to better understand how to configure a newer Air Force.

Al-Ansari said the proposed arrangement involves Qatar donating luxury aircraft to the U.S. government for use as Air Force One during President Trump.

According to reports from US media, the plane will transfer the plane to the Presidential Library of Donald J. Trump after leaving the office.

Trump will visit Qatar on a trip to the Gulf this week. Trump will not present or accept the plane when he is in Qatar.
