New York City Mayor Eric Adams and President-elect Trump met in Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday, three days before Trump returns to the White House.

Adams faces charges that he accepted luxury travel stipends and illegal campaign contributions from foreigners in exchange for corrupt conduct.

Trump, who was convicted in a New York court last year of falsifying business records, has defended Adams in the past, claiming the charges against the mayor may have stemmed from his criticism of President Joe Biden on border issues.

Trump said he would consider pardoning Adams.
