Liverpool wins Premier League title
This should be the transition season for Liverpool. Even the club's most optimistic fans know that this will be a transition directly into Premier League glory.
Liverpool won a record 20 British League titles in a 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. It is with Manchester United becoming the Liverpool level of the most winning club in British football history. There are still four games left in the season, and Liverpool has won the league convincingly.
Season begins with the shadow of doubt. The team's German tactician Jurgen Klopp left the club after eight trophy seasons. Klopp's bloody style, known as “gegenpressing”, has enabled Liverpool fans to stand up with high scoring, entertaining football. Klopp won the match as a manager, including Liverpool's first English-language title in 30 years in 2020, and the club's most prestigious trophy, the UEFA Champions League in 2019.
But it was Klopp's embrace of the Liverpool community, his charm at the press conference and his signature hug of the players, which made him loyal to Anfield and made him lion-like as the club's father. He exited the Liverpool contact line at the end of the 2024 season, which left fans anxious about what will happen next.

Cue Arne Slot, the emerging Dutch manager who is about to replace Klopp. The slot machine was successful in the Netherlands, bringing his Feyenoord team to the Dutch championship, but the new league and different playing abilities mean that success is far from guaranteed.
Slot admitted the huge task of replacing the legend while staying optimistic during his first press conference as Liverpool manager in July 2024.
“They are big shoes to wear,” Slot said. “But you can think of it as a team that has a culture of victory and a team. … We have a really good team, and as managers you want to work in a club where you have the chance to win something.”
And winning what his players do, no team member is more important than Liverpool's deadly right-wing team Mohamed Salah. Salah, nicknamed the Egyptian King, scored after the Reds' goal this season. The prolific form has brought Salah to the top of the Premier League goal list, scoring 28 goals in 34 games.
This is not just a goal. Salah also managed to dominate the assists rankings, leading the league with 18.

Salah, who has been Liverpool's most important player since arriving in the Premier League in 2017, squad members like Ryan Gravenberch, Ibrahima Konaté and Cody Gakpo have all found their highest form after reaching those heights under Klopp.
Slot's ability to get the most out of Liverpool squads has contributed to the team's success. The rise in performance is a reshaping of Liverpool's game style.
Liverpool is known for Klopp's touchline, known for its weird, counterattack chaos, which has resulted in many goals, but is also known for Liverpool. Under the slot, the chaos has been included.
Although Dogu thrillers aren't common on Merseyside, Slot's more property-oriented game style has resulted in fewer goals and more consistent wins. In Klopp's last season, Liverpool recorded only 10 clean sheets in the Premier League. Slot's roster has remained at 14 so far this season, the most in the league.
Although SLOT and KLOPP use different philosophies to guide their team, one important value of Liverpool Football Club has remained the same throughout the transition: the young people who trust the team.
Klopp turned the teenager into Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott to become Premier League stars. Slot continues to move forward, offering opportunities for young people like Jarell Quansah and Conor Bradley.
“It's very important for every club, especially for this club,” Slot said in January. “It's great to see some young people have an impact on our team and on the game. It's good because if the academy players perform well, it provides good energy in the building.”
Superstars like Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and Jamie Carragher have appeared from Liverpool's academy over the years. The slot machine managed to keep its promise to the young, while also claiming to be silver.
Without getting rid of Slot's impressive achievements, it's worth noting that the season of Liverpool's traditional rivals is impressive. Liverpool's main rival in recent years is Guardiola's Manchester City, which has self-destructed early this season after losing defensive midfielder Rodri. Before this season, Manchester City won four unprecedented titles.
Mikel Arteta's arsenal is the closest to Liverpool's dining table. The Gunners seem capable of posing a championship challenge earlier this season, then getting injured and the mediocre performance that follows.
Manchester United, the biggest rival in Liverpool history, was in trouble in the second half of the 14th. Although the trophy link to Manchester United this season is the most successful team in British football history, with 20 championships, momentum, squad depth and management success, it shows that Liverpool is closer to 21 than Manchester United.
