What did you miss out on previous leaders debates
During this federal election season, three leaders debates have been held, hosted by Sky News, ABC and nine leaders.
Debate among the first leaders Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton On April 8, a debate between the treasurers Jim Chalmers and Angus Taylor and the energy debate between Chris Bowen and Ted O'Brien The same week.
Neither Albanese nor Dutton made a major mistake at the Sky News Forum in Western Sydney, where Albanese was named the champion of the polls of 100 undecided voters – 44 votes against Dutton (21 undecided).
The second debate on the ABC was held on April 16, and when responded by opposition leaders, he would “let scientists pass this judgment” when asked whether the impact of climate change is getting worse. Dutton then clarified that he believed in climate change. Albanis denied claiming that his government built modeling the impact of any change on the negative gear, and then clarified that the modeling did exist and was not commissioned by his team. No winner was announced.
The third debate was held on Channel 9 on April 22, when both leaders were invited to refuse to hand over the “big lie” promoted during the campaign, the most animated debate came. Dutton accused Albanese of intimidating the funding of Medicare, while the Prime Minister accused him of returning “despair.” Three nine entertainment journalists who questioned the leader's announcement that Dutton won the “noses” (2-1).
Who is hosting tonight's debate and what are the rules?
Tonight's debate will be by Sunrise Natalie Barr And hosted by 7News Political Editor Mark Riley. Here are the basic rules for showdown:
The debate will last for an hour.
Both leaders will have an uninterrupted minute to make an open and closed statement.
The 30-second countdown timer will stay on track on the screen, but the microphone will be undisturbed.
The debate will focus on six key questions for each leader before entering the “Fast Shooting” round, while Albanys and Dutton will give quick/no or short answers.
Audience issues collected from broadcast and online viewers at 7News will also be included.
Each leader will have a minute to answer each of the first six questions, and the order of answers is rotated to ensure fairness.
Albanis and Dutton will then face four minutes and be able to ask each other's questions directly – all of which are hosted by Riley.
The leaders will then end the debate with a one-minute final against voters.
The winner will not be declared as part of the debate broadcast, but the subsequent ruling will determine the winner based on the studio audience of 60 undecided voters. They were independently selected by Roy Morgan.

Showdown will be played on 7's free channel as well as 7plus's catch-up service. Audiences can also be streamed on 7news.com.au. We will also bring you all the highlights of the debate on our live blog.
The debate will be hosted by the political editor of 7News, Mark Rileyand hosted at Seven's Studios in Sydney.
As part of the debate broadcast, the winner will not be announced – instead, studio listeners with 60 undecided voters will make a judgment after the case. We will have more details and detailed descriptions of the debate will be ongoing soon.
