Inside the new Deer Valley Grand Hyatt Park City
Attention Sundancers: Deer Valley has a new place to ski, drink, dine and sleep.
Last November, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley opened, the hotel brand's first Utah property in the newly developed East Village. The hotel has 436 rooms, with accommodations ranging from guest rooms and suites to one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury residences, which Hyatt describes as “a blend of contemporary design and rustic charm.”
On-site dining options include Remington Hall, a signature restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner with views of Jordanelle Reservoir (specialties mentioned by the hotel include bison tartare with salted egg yolk, truffle aioli and wild boar ragu); Hidden Ace Speakeasy, a haven for cocktails and snacks, hosts “live performances by local legends” and whiskey tastings; Living Room Offering an after-dinner experience with a fireplace, serving signature “premium chocolate” like afternoon tea service, complemented by s'mores, cookies, chocolate snowballs and other baked goods; Double Blacks is a cozy and cozy coffee shop offering more Multiple hot chocolate, spiced cider, and menu items like truffle mac and cheese and French sandwiches.

Additional amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool, three oversized hot tubs, and a pool deck with panoramic views and nightly entertainment. With a Deer Valley lift pass, guests gain access to 3 new lifts and 20 new trails covering 300 acres of new ski terrain.
And more: The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley has more than 30,000 square feet of event space, including 10,000 square feet of a grand ballroom, which the Sundance Institute will host on Jan. 24 when it hosts its annual gala fundraiser in partnership with Google TV The banquet room will be used. This year’s event will celebrate Michelle Satter, Sundance Institute’s beloved founding senior director of the Artist Program (who lost her family’s home in the Palisades Fire), Completely unknown Filmmaker James Mangold (Sundance Lab and Film Festival alumnus), evil Star Cynthia Erivo, Didi Writer-director Sean Wang, and NoiseCat co-directors Julian Brave NoiseCat and Emily Kassie sugarcane. The latter three filmmakers debuted their films during the 2024 festival.
Return to the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The brand will host a series of events in a dedicated Sundance space during the festival’s opening weekend. From January 24th to 26th, the hotel will host the famous New York City Bingo Night in Park City in partnership with The Standard and The Standard. Also that weekend, the Grand Hyatt will offer a “Start Your Day Again with a Healthy Morning” meditation session hosted by Headspace's Dora Kamau, as well as exercise classes hosted by Peloton trainers Ally Love and Aditi Shah.
