Hawks Captain Lane Johnson says going to the White House will be a “team decision” if Trump expands the invitation
The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl for the Kansas City Chiefs and the celebration has begun.
Senior offensive lineman Lane Johnson said whether it was at the White House or not — President Donald Trump has yet to announce the official invitation — would be a “team decision.”
“I'm going to be honored to go no matter who the president is, but we'll see it,” Johnson said through Eric Jackson of Sportico. “It's ultimately a team decision. I'll do the best for the team,” he said. Good thing.”

Johnson is the captain of the Eagles, and he spent all 12 NFL seasons on the team.
The controversy is back after his controversy there in 2018 defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Trump was on duty when he canceled invitation to the Hawks to celebrate their Super Bowl LII victory as some players said they would not visit the White House because of Trump's kneeling or raising his fists during the national anthem, Protests on racial discrimination and racial injustice and police brutality.

Trump issued a statement about his invitation to cancel at the time and said: “There are 1,000 fans who plan to attend the event deserve better.”
“They disagree with the president because he insists that they proudly represent the national anthem, mindfulness, in honor of our army and the great men of our country,” Trump's statement read seven years ago.

Hawks owner Jeffrey Lurie was asked before Super Bowl Lix whether he would head to the White House if his team wins.
“I just want to win on Sunday,” he answered through the front desk sports.
Josh Sweat, an Eagle, performed well on Sunday with 2.5 sacks on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, adding: It's a huge honor, but I look forward to this parade more than anything else.”
