CBS News Poll: Economy is better about winter, but Americans are paying much more attention to finance
Summer starts with Americans economy The ratings continue to be more obvious than this winter – although still good – their prospects are more mixed. However, the feeling of financial concern and stress is more common than the feeling of safety.
Most people still say their income is not keeping pace inflationOf course, price and finance play a big role in how Americans decide on summer plans. And, it also helps define two different prospects to this season.
More Americans say they will accept it holiday This summer is more than a report held in 2024. The most likely vacation is half of the people who say they do well at least financially and can keep up with the expenses. (Especially for those with higher income earners, summer will also involve travel.)
But for those who say financially bad, this is still largely due to prices and income not keeping up with inflation. They largely gave up on any vacation or travel.
Overall, regarding the range of feelings spans in finance, most people report feelings ranging from stress and attention to safety and optimism. But Americans now describe feeling worried or stress more often than feeling safe or satisfied. This is especially true among people with poor personal financial situations.
grade economy Overall, it still remains net negative – it has been the case for years – but lately they have been seeing the dipping sauces they see in winter, February and March.
The prospects and directions are still mixed together, which is more negative than positivity. But today, there are fewer plans today, as if the country is heading for a complete recession, as stated last month. Opinions have turned to expectations of a slowing but recession.
In another study, consumer confidence has been reported to have rebounded recently.
People with relatively low income levels report feeling more frequent about financial stress. Stress and attention can exacerbate work (for those employed). Concerns about the ability to pay for food and groceries monthly are closely related to the feeling of more frequent stress. Instead, maintaining a sense of security or optimism financially has to do with the confidence to be able to save, buy additional underlying payments.
The stock market’s relationship with financials is crucial to people reporting less frequent stress. The market has fluctuated in recent months, but the market invested has also had higher revenues and reported less attention to payments for daily items.
Summer Plan
As summer begins, of course, one way Americans traditionally try to relieve stress is during vacation or vacation. However, this can also be split on the financial line.
For more than half of Americans who say they have good financial situations, most plan to take a vacation this summer, and most of them will also involve travel.
The vast majority of people, even if they are in good financial condition, their income has not kept up with inflation, and this usually doesn’t change over time.
For most travelers, summer means road trips. This is their main way to travel. (Although, in general, people who say they have poor financial situations say they will have less car trips than they did last summer.)
People’s assessments of the direction of gasoline prices are mixed together, unlike those in March.
Americans are more likely to expect their summer to be exciting than boring. However, despite this, summer is not the most popular season for Americans. It was autumn.
