The man added his girlfriend's brother: “Who is it? no way Contributing to any shared gift, bringing his spoiled 2-year-old. ”

“People say, 'Oh, your poor little thing', give him a cake.”

But he finally “reached to the cake and moved the cake within a few inches.”

“People are saying, 'Oh, you poor little thing,'” the man continued, “give him a cake.”

The man said, then he “tells people calmly and rationally” that “the things the kid is doing are very unhygienic, it's not his birthday cake, he is old and can teach it for a minute until he gets a piece of cake instead of destroying someone else's birthday cake and covering it with his bacteria.”

Another commenter took a different view.

“In a gathering of other people's family in their own homes, they are the people who decide whether they are cool about their toddler behavior.”

The same person said, “You don’t have (not good) moving cakes – a large number of people instinctively move the cakes.”

“I wouldn’t even blame someone for saying, ‘Oh, sorry, I reacted quickly by moving the cake because I don’t know if you’re worried that Little Ebenezer will get messy’ and then look at the chaos sharply.”

But, “You're kind of like a hole in explaining the bacteria to them. Read the room,” the person continued.

    Another commenter offers more nuances.

“It's worth remembering that children are only 2 years old – behaviors like putting their hands into things and throwing their tempers is normal in development in that era.”

“Moving the cake is absolutely in everyone’s best interest.”

The person added: “Of course, no child should be allowed to access other people’s food and cakes are absolutely in everyone’s best interest.”

However, the same person wrote: “While your partner’s family has problems, the child should not be the object of your frustration with your family.”
