Angie Postkoglu: Why are Tottenham fans angry at chairman Daniel Levy?

While Levy's ownership is under considerable pressure, Postkoglu must not escape scrutiny.

The Australian succeeded Antonio Conte in 2023 and brought swashbuckling football back to the club, recording eight wins and two draws in his first 10 league games.

Asked whether he had enough credit in the bank to remain at the club when those injured players return, Postkoglu said: “Who knows. I think there's probably a fair number of people who would say No.”

“When you become the manager of a football club you can be very vulnerable and isolated. I don't think so.

“I feel like this group of players, not for me but for the club, have given everything. I have a really committed staff. I'm focused on that.”

“I always win trophies in my second season,” Postkoglu said earlier this season, with Tottenham still in contention for trophies this season.

Tottenham have advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup and are about to advance to the knockout stages of the Europa League. They lead Liverpool 1-0 in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals next month.

“I still think we can do something really special over the last three months and I think these guys believe that,” Postkoglu said.
