John Mellencamp and Pat McAfee are officially in the war.
It all started with Mellencamp calling McAfee to gather celebrity Knicks fans in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals of New York and the Indiana Pacers.
After summoning Ben Stiller, Spike Lee and Timothee Chalamet (prompt Indianapolis Boos) to claim Boos, McAfee begged fans to “put Ss–up” and “send these B—— back to New York's son, their ears ring”.

However, Mellencamp said in a statement that he was “embarrassing” “someone” used “poor sportsmanship” – without mentioning McCaffe's name. McAfee replied to X, “I am alone.”
But in his own show on Friday, McAfee shot the singer.
“When the Knicks play in Gainbridge, I believe there will be some booing. There may be some negative things to say to another team. I think it's a sport,” McAfee began. “We will be the agents of good things happening in sports. There are only positive cheers because it will make John Coogel Melencamp happy.”
