Rev. Corey Brooks: Tim Walz just made a ridiculous comment on race

Can a person represent the entire game? My skin is black – do I represent all black people? My good friend is white – does he represent all white people? If we are indeed representatives of race, do we have similar superpowers?

Apparently, Tim Walz did it. The former Democratic vice presidential candidate and Minnesota governor stopped for a speech at Harvard Kennedy School and took a listening journey across the country. He told the audience that Vice President Kamala Harris chose him as her campaign partner because “I can talk to white people who are watching football, fixing trucks and rest assured.” He added that he is the “licensing structure” that white people vote for Democrats.

There is it there. All white people self-appointed. A person with a “code” to talk to a white man and command him as much as possible.

Waltz said Harris picked his vice president to “talk to white people”

It is hard to believe that this stupidity will exist in 2025. There is no lower than a person who thinks about himself in terms of racial meaning. Waltz is a man.

If you believe I'm harsh, then explain thinking about your own value in racial terms? Walz failed because he obviously didn't win Harris's land presidency with enough numbers. So, I asked again what value it would be?

This man was so delusional that he thought he had a mysterious grasp of white people?

I don't even think he thinks it's so far. He is a virtue to his whiteness, and that's exactly what I mean: to him, white means racism. Waltz's virtue is to believe that his white skin is racist and he feels ingrained at all the privileges that come with it. He believes that all white people have the same guilt.

Commentator and author Shelby Steele calls this white guilt. But this is not the real inner gui. Instead, the desire to see yourself as racist innocent—isolate yourself from the racial past in America.

When Walz “pleads guilty” of his white-skinned racism, he believes he is realizing the innocence of the American racist past. He believes that as a man who knows skin racism, he must return to his ignorant tribe and give them innocent from inherent racism.

But because one person cannot represent race, we are left with only another all-American race absurdity. How much more of these absurdities do we have to endure? How long will we continue to believe that the use of race can make us actively progress anywhere?

What if the absurdity of waltz didn’t awaken us?
