Phoenix – Arizona Rattlers Slugger Eugenio Suárez has an all-or-nothing season.

It's safe to say that his Saturday night performance falls into the “all” category.

Suárez became the 19th player in Major League Baseball history, hitting four home runs in one game and losing 8-7 to the Atlanta Braves in 10 innings. The Third Baseman is the first player in the major league to do so since JD Martinez (also D-Backs) in 2017.

“What can I say; obviously, it's great,” Suarez said. “I never thought in my life that I could hit four home runs in one game.”

Suárez competed in the .167 hits, six home runs and 15 RBIs in the game. He scored 19 hits after Saturday's performance, including the league's best 10 home runs.

The 33-year-old Suarez hit a solo in the second inning, earned two home runs in the fourth, and two more unicorns in the sixth and ninth home runs, earning five RBIs.

His fourth home run, brave Raisel Iglesias tied for seven points, while Chase Field roared over 43,000 people. D-Backs manager Torey Lovullo admits he “can't believe it” Suárez did it again.

“I don't think he could go deeper. When did this happen?” Lovalo said. “It's like a fairy tale. When it happened, I was just shaking my head. I couldn't believe it. He turned a good ball.

“It's one of those magical nights. It's hard to describe.”

Four baseballs had a total of 1,655 feet, and the longest was a 443-foot shot, his third home run. Grant Holmes appeared in the first three home runs.

Suárez became the second baseman for the fourth baseman and joined the former Philadelphia Phillies great Mike Schmidt (April 17, 1976, at the Chicago Cubs). Suarez had two previous triple-hr games (July 30, 2024, with the Rattlesnakes, and September 5, 2020, as a member of the Cincinnati Reds).

Overall, in MLB history (24), it is more perfect than the game in the four-game game.

The Braves won the tenth victory after Matt Olson scored on the wild court. Arizona became the second team to lose a game, with one player joining the Braves’ four-game home runs in 1986, who lost in Bob Horner’s four-man game.

“The feeling now is mixed because we didn't win the game,” Suarez said. “But it's baseball; that's why this game is so special. I just want to glorify God in today's game. It's a gift, and I don't take it for granted.”

Venezuelan-born veterans accounted for 286 home runs in their careers with the Detroit Tigers, Reds, Seattle Mariners and Rattlers.
