Jared Poetry | Edge | Los Angeles Rams
Poetry is the Rams’ first-round first-round draft pick since 2016, and the 19th-place trial has had an impact on his rookie season as he doesn’t have recently retired star Aaron Donald for defense. Florida's rookie poet has 4.5 sacks, 66 tackles, 2 forced grops and 2 turnovers recovery rates. He is the only Pro Bowl option for the Rams, and “his influence and impact on the game,” said defensive coordinator Chris Shula. Verse ranked fourth in quarterback pressure. His 76 pressures were 20 more than the next rookie on the list. Shula called the poem a “real three-pointer” and praised his growth through the Rams’ playoffs.
“He's an exciting guy with a great charm,” said head coach Sean McVay. “He has a great resilience to himself. I think as he matures and grows, he continues to do so,” said head coach Sean McVay. Use all these experiences.”
