2025 ACE Eddie Awards postponed due to Los Angeles fires
The 2025 ACE Eddie Awards is the latest Hollywood event to be postponed due to the Los Angeles wildfires.
The 75th annual Best Editing in Film, Television and Documentary Awards was scheduled to take place on Saturday. American Film Editors (ACE) said late Monday that new dates will be announced soon.
The ACE Eddie Awards are held at UCLA's Royce Hall. As Angelenos continue to battle the ongoing wildfires, the show will transform from a black-tie red carpet event into a “whatever you want” community-building fundraiser, with a portion of ticket sales donated to Los Angeles wildfire relief.
The annual Nominees Reception, a private event for nominees originally scheduled for Thursday, will also be rescheduled.
“Due to ongoing concerns about the safety of the Los Angeles community, we have made arrangements with UCLA and Royce Hall to postpone the 75th Annual ACE Eddie Awards Ceremony,” the organization said in a statement. “ACE Board of Directors It was agreed that a later date (to be determined) would be the smarter and safer course of action for everyone. … This is unprecedented and we are working hard to keep things as fluid as possible once we have the details, and when the event finally occurs, we will need to be more united than ever. Thank you for your understanding and it goes without saying that our thoughts are with all our members and the entire industry affected by the fire.”
